Scuba Diving in Aqaba, Jordan

Aqaba, as I was saying, is synonymous with the sea and there you can engage in all kinds of
water activities from snorkeling (for most beginners), to diving and kitesurfing.

The most popular places to immerse yourself and hallucinate with the seabed in the area are:
 A power station (power station): In that area, it is common to find sharks and large
pelagics.
 First bay
 Ras Al Yamnaya
 King Abdullah Reef
 Black rock
 Rainbow reef
 Cedar Pride Wreck: in this area, we will find a sunken ship (the Tarmac Five). Even
the most expert divers can even venture into it.
 Taiyong: For more expert divers
 Japanese Garden: as you can guess from its name, one of the places with the most
exceptional flora and fauna.
 Gorgone
 Seven sisters
 New and Eel Canyon: It is a circular tour around two coral canyons full of marine life
such as scorpionfish. A step away, we will also find a sunken tank and plane.
 Al Shorouk: Another of the dives for the most experienced divers
 Yellowstone reef
 Blue coral
 Kiwi reef: We will find a reef of the most colorful and the favorite of the
photographers. Moray eels and lionfish are part of the small ecosystem that we will
find there.

There are several companies that organize excursions on small yachts in which you can
sunbathe, snorkel, and if you wish, paying a supplement, dive.

The prices are around 50 euros for the excursion. I did it with Deep Blue Dive and the experience
was very good. The staff was very attentive, the food was very tasty and we made up to 3
stops to swim/snorkel (one of them to dive). Even if you are not great experts, I assure you
that the experience is very worthwhile. The reef in the Red Sea is very high so even if you
don’t know how to swim very well, you can see everything perfectly. Its crystal clear waters
are an impressively intense blue. Just stick your head underwater to see hundreds of fish.

Other dive centers in Aqaba:
 Dive Aqaba
 Arab Divers
 Aqaba Adventure Divers
 Ahlan Aqaba
 Aqaba International Dive Center

Prices are around 80 euros for a dive but depending on how many you dive there is always
the possibility of negotiating it.
